Ranking Up - Village Shinobi
There are numerous ways to ranking up your character all which are displayed below for Village Shinobi and Missing Shinobi. When you rank up depending on the rank you will also receive a number of jutsu points the stat points you receive is equal to the difference between the two ranks. Eg Chunin to Tokubetsu Jounin the difference is 100sp you gain 100sp.
Academy to Genin: 500 jutsu points
Genin to Chunin: 1,000 Jutsu Points
Chunin to Tokubetsu Jounin: 2,000 Jutsu Points
Tokubetsu Jounin to Jounin: 3,000 Jutsu Points

Below is a list of the free Jutsu and skills you will earn when you create a character or when your character ranks up depending on your rank or new rank. When making your character these do not contribute to your starting Jutsu Count.

Name:Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique)

Description:With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations. The higher ones chakra reserves increases the number of times one can perform this technique.

Description:Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it.
The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is of course not always successful. The more chakra one has the longer they can maintain the henge for.

Name:Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)

Description:A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones may dissipate when they come into contact with something.
These clones can be easily distinguished by persons with dōjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). The more chakra utilised the more clones one can create.

Name:Rīfu shūchū renshū (Leaf Concentration Practice)

Description: This training method is done by placing a leaf over an individual's forehead and having them direct all their chakra onto the leaf, using it as a focal point.
This exercise can be used by Academy teachers as a way to teach students how to control their chakra more effectively. However, the true purpose of the exercise is actually to hone the individual's concentration and to keep their mind from becoming distracted. The highest form of this technique is to be able to use multiple leaves and balance them on your body sticking them to yourself with chakra. Using multiple leaves require a higher rate of concentration as well as a finer chakra control.

Mastery Requirements: To add more leaves to be manipulated in the exercise each leaf requires +200 words to be added to the minimum word count. If you balance ten leaves on your body you must add 2,000 words to the 500 making it a 2,500 word count.

Description: The CHo kogata-en is a low ranking fire technique taught to all academy students who use the fire element.. The user breathes in softly moulding a tiny amount of fire into their lungs than expelling a tiny ember to light any cloths up to create a torch or even spit it up onto a finger creating a small fireball like touch at your finger tip illuminating five metres around you in the dark. Is not for combat. The technique can be utilised for combat should enough chakra be channeled into it.

Name: Suiton: Dangan shushi (Water Release: Bullet Seed)

Description: The SuitonL Dangan Shushi is a basic technique taught before all Genin aligned to water leave the academy and graduate. The technique after the hand seals one molds water chakra into their lung and slowly lets it rise up shaping the water into a number of tiny water bullets that when they open their lips fire them off. This technique can be used to quell a small fire or even a camp fire. Often the technique is used as a distraction.

Name: Raiton: Hibana (Lightning Release: Spark)

Description: The Raiton: Hibana is a basic lightning technique where one moulds lighnting chakra into the tips of their fingertips letting it build as small sparks of electricity spark from their fingers. The electricity can be used to touch an opponent sending a small jolt of electricity into their body a small shock or it can be used to launch five sparks up to five metres. The more chakra one has the stronger and faster the technique.

Description: The Doton: Furuu is an earth based technique that alwlows one to release earth nature chakra into the ground actinglike a sonar radiar where they can detect any form of vibrations within a five metre radius. One's perception must be 10 points lower then those within the area for them to detect and pick up their prescence.

Description:
The Nagi or Lull is a simple E rank wind based technique taught to all academy students. When used one channels wind chakra into the palm of their hand and flicks there wrist releasing a small gust of wind filled with tiny wind blades that cut like blunt blades. The more chakra one has the sharper and faster these wind blades are.

Description:This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most common choice for item storage. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use.
Weapons are the most commonly sealed objects. Tenten, a weapons specialist from Konohagakure for example, uses this technique to store her many weapons, making them easier to carry around with her. Toroi of Kumogakure also used this technique to store his shuriken which he used in battle. Puppet masters also use this technique with their puppets either through hidden scrolls in various compartments or a simple seal as a means of increasing their own killing potential as well as hiding useful weapons from the opponent's sight. This can be seen with Sasori's Thousand Hands Manipulation Force.
A wide variety of other things can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened or under a specific condition.

Description:This technique is a good example of how even simple Taijutsu can become a pre-eminently destructive, lethal technique. The attack is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying as if they weighed nothing. The goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body. The strength and speed of this technique is equal to the wielders.

Description:A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint. The strength and speed of this technique is equal to the wielders.

Description:This genjutsu creates eerie black ninja illusions, which appear one by one from trees and rocks, and corner the enemy. Their movements are slow, but when attacked they multiply, and in this way they appear like ghosts inhabiting the mist. Kunai are added to this technique, by throwing them to match illusions movement, making them seem real. As the clones continue to multiply, the victim will eventually be worn down.The higher ones own chakra control the stronger the illusion they cast is. To break out of the illusion your chakra control must be higher than the caster. To even be able to break out of this Genjutsu you need a base level of +21 Control.

Description:This is a genjutsu that reveals the fears that dwell inside people's hearts. Everyone has an image of the one thing they wouldn't want to ever see. This genjutsu is a technique that draws forth such an image from within the heart and has one mistake it for reality. First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. If the mental image is a gruesome one, the shock will be accordingly great. The higher ones own chakra control the stronger the illusion they cast is. To break out of the illusion your chakra control must be higher than the caster. To even be able to break out of this Genjutsu you need a base level of +21 Control.

Name:Ki Nobori no Shugyō (Tree Climbing Practice)

Description: Tree Climbing Practice is a training method used to gain more skills with chakra control. This training involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb a tree without using one's hands. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the tree and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the tree, causing the tree to break around the point of contact and the user will fall. This method can also be applied to other vertical surfaces such as walls.

Description: The Chakra infusion is a skill that is utilised by many shinobi. The skill is one where after learning one is able to infuse there naturla element into weapons, items or other techniques for combinations to enhance the natural strength, speed, sharpness, durability or piercing power. Each element when added had a different effect as each element is different and unique.
Wind: When wind nature chakra is infused the sharpness of a tool or jutsu is enhanced same with speed. The sharpness and speed increase is equal to ones chakra. If your chakra is 50 then your tool or Jutsu gets +50 Sharpness and speed.
Fire: When fire is added it creates a torrent of flames around a tool or empowers other jutsu with flames. When the fire element is added the strength and speed are both increased this increase is equal to your current chakra reserves. If your chakra is 50 then your tool or Jutsu gets +50 Strength and speed.
Lightning: Lightning is the piercing element and when added to a tool encases it in lightning also increasing its sharpness and extending speed allowing lightning to extend forth like a spear. When the lightning element is added the sharpness and speed are both increased this increase is equal to your current chakra reserves. If your chakra is 50 then your tool or Jutsu gets +50 Sharpness and speed.
Earth: Earth is the hardening element giving an increase to durability/endurance to weaponry, tools and jutsu boosting their health and strength. When the earth element is added the durability and strength are both increased this increase is equal to your current chakra reserves. If your chakra is 50 then your tool or Jutsu gets +50 Durability and strength.
Water: Water is a piercing element like lightning but not as strong however when water is added it creates a thin liquid glow. When added water is used to boost strength and sharpness equal to ones current chakra reserves. If your chakra is 50 then your tool or Jutsu gets +50 Strength and Sharpness.

Name:Suimen Hokō no Gyō (Water Surface Walking Practice)

Description: This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of the their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Practice, because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly.
It has also been shown that one can use their chakra to "skate" across the water surface, like an ice skater, instead of just walking or running. This however requires control through another Chakra Control Exercise.
